Me and my friend were visiting Austin for a day trip. This restaurant was recommended by the women at visitor center. This day was a game day for UT Austin so we wanted to eat somewhere not close to campus. I'm glad we went with the recommendation for this place. Because all of the food was delicious . I ordered a cup of soup "cream of jalapeño" this is a popular item for them. They give you a side of shrimp to add to it as well! I ordered the Blackened Catfish with crawfish on top with a savory cheese grit. I give the food, experience, and service a 9/10
The food is always consistently delicious, although brunch is by far my favorite. Great drinks and wine selection. It does get busy so be prepared to wait, but the restaurant has a nice bar area and outdoor space.
Must have the Bloody Mary here!!! They have a lot of food to choose from brunch. Good selection.
Really nice, quaint place and delicious quick food. Chi me. And waffles were so yummy. Decent portion and ate more than I anticipated bec it was good and light for comfort food. Highly recommend. Service was friendly.
Very busy , little bit of a wait Got an amaretto sour - 12.00 - very good Got a margarita - 10.00 - mm was good but amaretto was better Mac & cheese - light and good - little tiny spice Chicken and waffle - fire - very soft waffles & chicken is great Honey hot wings - hot - wasnt worth it - they were good but not as good as chicken and waffles Now for the real review Them dam biscuits are the best biscuits i ever had. I think the app comes w / 3 ... they are like the size of your hand (each one) so 3 is like a meal. Comes w butter & like a honey jam , so good . 100% would go back & get biscuits
Moonshine is always a solid choice. Dined here with some friends so we ordered several things to share. The salmon and Brussels sprouts were delish. The Mac is yum. The chicken fried steak is massive and so scrumptious! That gravy is !!! 1st time with the queso and will def order again. Service is prompt and friendly.
My husband and I wanted to try chicken fried chicken and I'm glad we ended up at Moonshine! It was so good! We also tried the blackened catfish and it was delicious! The flavors were great! Service was good. Our server checked on us and refilled our water. We sat in their patio and that was nice. It was pretty crowded but we got seated right away for the patio.
